Anatomy of Lung




Respiratory tract or commonly known as the airway in general has two main functions, namely as a channel (conduction) and the appliance gas exchange (respiration). Respiratory tract system starts from the nose or mouth and ending at the alveoli (functional units) which is where the exchange of gases from the atmosphere by gases coming from the body's metabolic processes. In a simple respiratory tract can be expressed as a tree with all its ramifications (tracheobronchial tree system).
.The anatomy of the lung is divided into two major parts, namely the right lung and left lung. The right lung comprises three lobes and the left lung consists of two lobes and then each lobe in both lungs are subdivided into segments. Starting from the trachea to form alveoli will undergo 23 times branching
